Expomusic, an up and coming electronic group from Belgium, released "Right Here With Me" the other day, and boy am I feeling it. According to Expomusic's Soundcloud page, the group specializes in "powerful and extremely catchy feel good synth/electro-pop tunes." If that isn't enough to convince you to have a listen, this song's popularity is soaring right now on Hype Machine. Shout out to The Music Ninja, which is where I originally heard the song.
Florida's own No Diavolo said they were going for a "“blues/soul/doo-wop aesthetic with a minimalist hip-hop vibe" on this one. Seems about right to me. With strong vocals and eerie undertones, "Holy Night" is a great fall track, and will be a dark favorite for Halloween parties.
"Where Is My Mind" is an iconic song. The track has been used in countless movies (most notably Fight Club) and made waves on the alternavitve/buzz scene in the mid 90's. When ever this song gets a rework, I give it a chance because once in a while there is one worth listening to. Bellingham, WA based ambient/electronic band Glowbug dropped a 4 track album the other day with covers of The Pixies, The Smiths, Yeah Yeah Yeah's and Radiohead. They're all worth a listen, but be sure to check out this cover, and one of my favorite Pixies remixes of all time.
We've been a Party Supplies fan since his remix of "Money Grabber" came out last year. He recently signed to Fool's Gold Records and the Firecrackers mixtape came out about a month ago. Some tracks work better than others but most of this is club material. "Money Grabber", "In My Time of Dying" and "Love Story" are probably the best and definitely worth checking out.
