[Indie/Electronic] RAC - 1979 (ft. Liz Anjos)

We've said this 1000 times. RAC can do no wrong. His imaginative, synth heavy style gets me every time. His latest is a rework uses vocals from Liz Anjos' cover of Smashing Pumpkin's classic "1979", a favorite of just about everybody that grew up in the 90's. We're a fan of all things RAC, and if you're not already, you will be soon.

[Electro Remix] Alex Winston- Velvet Elvis (RAC Remix)

The latest from RAC's Andre Allen Anjos. Another upbeat pop rework. This guy's songs need to be on the radio. There are few artists out there that possess his ability to take already good songs and rework them into something even greater. RAC remixes are like comfort music. The uptempo beats and melodic synth chords have a way about them that make you feel happy. Oh, and Alex Winston is an American indie pop rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Classically trained in opera, Winston was encouraged by her parents to pursue music. She once opened for Ted Nugent. This explains why she is covered in blood in her picture.

Theophilus London ft. Sara Quin- Why Even Try (RAC Remix)

This is just a terrible remix. There's no melody. It's not catchy. Just overall not a feel good tune. If you don't listen to this you're not missing out......just kidding.

RAC VOL 2

In my eyes RAC can do no wrong. Every song they remix is golden. Currently they have the #1, #6, and #9 songs on the Hype Machine. Here is their latest slate of remixes that came out a few days ago (some of these songs have been out for a while). RAC mixes typically feature a unique blend of hip-hop and electro drum samples, analog synthesizers, melodic hooks, and original performed instrumentation. Andre Allen Anjos founded and heads RAC and he's the man pictured above. Definitely worth a listen. The Suckers remix and the Phoenix remix are two of my favorites.

Mr. Little Jeans – Rescue Song (RAC Remix)

Mr. Little Jeans is a college-aged Norwegian singer/songwriter named Monica Birkenes, and I'm already in love with her. RAC's remix of "Rescue Song" doesn't disappoint.
