I really wish Posner wasn't on this track. I've been listening to this song on repeat to see if I can actually get past Pos' generic, female audience intended vocals. I eventually did. Rusko's newest beat on "Shut Up" is exactly the reason why I fell in love with dubstep in the first place. Head bobbing breaks, and deep, deep sub bass wobbles. Can't think of anything more perfect.
What is it about Ganster Rap and Dubstep that makes them go so well together? Probably because they are both hard as hell. 3 Stripes (no, not the White Stripes) has blended Ruko's "Da Cali Anthem" and The Game's "One Blood" into a massive west coast anthem. Check it out!

Boys and Girls, RUSKO IS BACK. This is a brand new track that was ripped from Skream and Bengas "In New DJs We Trust" show on BBC Radio 1. This is by far the best Rusko choon I have heard in a while and even though its poor quality, there is no question that it will be a major hit. Check it out below and anticipate the release forthcoming on Mad Decent.
Daily Dubstep. My boy Tron from Colgate sent me this track at 8:30 this morning. I'm assuming he was up all last night womping out, after their win vs RPI. This track has a bouncy, wobbiling bassline that induces immediate head bobbing. Have a listen and happy face-melting!
After hearing the name, most people assume it’s a joke - however these same people can then be found on Rusko’s or Datsik’s dance floor going absolutely nuts.
Consider the Wikipedia article:
Brostep (also called ‘mid-range cack’ or bruvstep in the UK) evolved out of dubstep to become what many see as a separate subgenre of music, although it is still largely categorized as dubstep by event promoters, fans and most of the artists themselves. Brostep is characterized by the preference of mid-range frequencies over those of the low end, a massive amount of wobble, an aggressive ‘feel’ to the music and an impatient, almost frantic style of delivery. More drum and bass-influenced than dub-influenced (as is the case with dubstep), brostep is tinged with scrapes of heavy metal and has a jumpier, ravey vibe with very little sub-bass weight.
Some people argue that some brostep artists (although no one is claiming the brostep label) are: Rusko, Caspa, Coki, Reso, Trillbass, Datsik, Excision, and Borgore. And people are loving their work.
Long time lovers of Dubstep are hating the direction the genre is moving. I say let 'em hate. The only reason the genre has gained so much attention in the last year all over the world is because of these acts.
Here's what Rusko has to say on the matter
Rusko's music has become more melodic as result, and people are missing the music that got them into the genre in the first place.
It's what got me into it. Let us know what you think.
BRAND NEW RUSKO!!!! This was premiered on Radio 1 by Skream and Benga on their INDJWT show on the 13th. The song below is a low quality radio rip, but this track is going to be massive.
Team SB is heading down to NYC tomorrow night to see Rusko and Boys Noize at webster hall. I can't express my excitement. Check out Rusko's latest jam with Sunday Girl.
