One of the hottest mixtapes I've heard in a long time. Kind of has a similar vibe to Curren$y's Pilot Talk albums...maybe because both rappers are heavily under the influence. Here are a few of my favorite tracks:
Hip-hop's most worthy, Odd Future, is at it again. In this freestyle, Tyler The Creator and Domo Genesis go HAM over Mobb Deep's famous ‘Got It Twisted’ instrumental. This was part of Peter Rosenberg ‘What’s Poppin Vol. 1′ mixtape, and features some funny commentary from Mr. Rosenberg himself. Pardon the shit quality, as it was probably recorded on tour, but it is fire.
I've been really hating a lot of rap that has been coming out recently, except for Odd Future. I truly believe these guys are truly the future of good rap music. These tracks came out on the mixtape "Radical" a way back, but I've really been feeling them recently. If you got em, you must be the man. If not, scoop em below. FREE EARL.
OFWGKTA is blowing up. They got signed by XL records, were featured guests on Jimmy Fallon and now, chillwave's supreme being Toro y Moi has remixed this Tyler The Creator track. Oh, and its bomb.
Last week, Odd Future released a new Tyler The Creator video. This track will be featured on Tyler's upcoming second album GOBLIN, set to be released in April. OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) are a hip hop collective out of Los Angeles, California. The members are Tyler the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Mike G, Frank Ocean, Left Brain, The Super 3, Syd tha Kyd, Jasper Loc and Taco Bennett. These guys are gonna be performing at Cochella, except for Earl Sweatshirt, who is under his mother's custody until he turns 18. You may ask, why would Earl's mother not allow him to continue to be a part of this group? Take a look at the videos. Big ups to Kaiusalon for the tip.
