Feed Me dropped an album on Christmas day on Mau5trap records and its phenomenal. Its got a nice mix of electro and some dubstep. Give it a listen, its worth your time. Big ups to @OchoTRON for the tip.
More from Eminem and Dr. Dre.....this time they enlist the services of Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Cashis, and Stat Quo. Lyrics are hard and the chorus is pretty funny. These veteran rappers basically rip the current music industry apart.
I was just listening to a ton of Skrilly and it came to my attention that I haven't ever posted this jam. Its a couple months old, but its one of his best tracks.
*If someone can tell me how he makes his voice change to match the tune of the song, please comment below. I think everybody wants to know how the hell he does it.
If you haven't heard about this yet, Assemblywoman Fiona Ma proposed legislation yesterday to ban large electronic music events in California. This event would put an end all electronic music festivals (like HARDfest). Don't let this happen.
“(a) Any person who conducts a public event at night that includes prerecorded music and lasts more than three and one-half hours is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or twice the actual or estimated gross receipts for the event, whichever is greater.”
If you were getting all sorts of fucked up off of eggnog this weekend and are feeling the repercussions this morning, you're in luck. SkeetBeatz proudly presents our seventh edition of the "Sunday Hangover Playlist" with our braaaas over at Statusbro, which should help you get through your holiday hangover.
Hope everybody is having a good Christmas! As a tradition, after all the presents are opened and family time is over, we try and find the only club that is open on Christmas night. It is there where we usually find the real creatures- the dedicated few who can't take even Christmas off from drinking.
Merry Christmas everyone from the SKEETBEATZ TEAM!!!! This is a video of baby SUPERTREND (his real name is Embry) dancing to Florence and the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over." He's been jamming out to trendy beatz for over 20 years now!!!
P.S. this song is actually a great jam and you can download it here.
I can't believe I haven't posted this earlier. This song was off of 50 Cent's "Sincerely Yours, Southside" mixtape. He raps over Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love" and its fire.
Yesterday CT native Chris Webby released his new mixtape Best in the Burbs. I've given it a quick listen, and there are a couple solid jams...."Starry Eyed", "Roll", and "Get Loose" happen to be my favorites.
I have no idea how I missed this song until today.....Bag Raiders is hands down one of my favorite groups out there right now. In my opinion, "Sunlight" is the best song that Bag Raiders has come out with since "Shooting Stars."
Yesterday Christoph Andersson released his first EP entitled "Capital." Andersson describes his music as being "neo-disco", and I'm definitely a fan. Check out "Capital" and "Cache" below.
After three weeks of getting my tan on at the beach, observing wild animals in their natural habitat, and destroying various bars/clubs, I've finally returned from South Africa. While in South Africa I got a chance to go to a Freshlyground concert. Along with Goldfish, Freshlyground is one of the biggest names in South African music at the moment. They played one of their most popular songs, "I'd Like", at the concert. I had never heard the song before, but the chorus sounded very familiar.....
I realized that the chorus from "I'd Like" is used in Mt. Eden's grimyyyyy track "Sierra Leone", which happens to be one of SUPERTREND's original posts on SB. Check out both songs below. Shout out to Katie for hollering at me with the Freshlyground track.
I really got some holiday treats for you guys. First track by the Dirty Boyz pretty much explains all I have ever wanted. Second one by Eazy-E is by far the most offensive song ever heard around Christmas time.
Dirty Boyz - All I Want for Christmas Is To Get Crunk
Eazy E- Merry Muthaphukkin Christmas
And of course, some filthy holiday Dubstep. Got a an array of DubChristmas choons, and one Chanukah remix so you can wobble like a dradel and womp out each of thoes 8 crazy nights.
If you follow this blog, you can tell I'm not a huge fan of the stuff most of these white college rappers put out. But, Mac Miller is an exception. This guy has some consistency in coming out with good tracks, which for me, leaves him superior to the rest. Also, he doesn't give off the vibe of being a complete pussy.
Last night, team SB was out at a guido club pumping fists with the best of them, and obviously the guys over at StatusBro were broin out. If you guys were too, you probably need all Sunday to recover. Hopefully this playlist will help.
*If you are really hurting, listen to the M83 track for inspiraion.
If you don't know who Break Science or Paper Diamond is, they just signed to the Pretty Lights Record Label. The label sent us over this track last night by Break Science. Check it out.
