The past and the future of dubstep lies in the use of sub bass. Although really popular right now, I don't see the genre's future relying heavily on the use of mid range bass (often referred to as mid-range crank or brostep). This refix by Essex, Britain producer Brown & Gammon really encompasses the origins of dubstep, using the dub reggae style with light wobble bass. Give it a listen, this track is fire.
