DJ Khaled and Drake - I'm On One (Its Overture Remix)

Don't get me wrong, I have a passionate hatred for DJ Khaled. His trademark "We The Best" and gaudy persona has turned me away from anything he is a part of ever since he became famous. I also poke a lot of fun at Wheel Chair Jimmy, but I'm putting up this track because both of their roles in Its Overture's remix of "I'm One One" are less than minimal. Overture kills this tune, completely transforming it into a light dance tune that I think you will all enjoy.

DJ Khaled and Drake - I'm On One (Its Overture Remix)

Sound Remedy

I've become increasingly impressed by faceless Chicago based DJ Sound Remedy. His production style is extremely versatile, conquering tracks from all different genres, but never failing to add his own unique synth driven, dance influenced style. The man himself has come out with two solid remixes in the last week and I think you guys ought to check em out.

Lykke Li - I Know Places (Sound Remedy Remix)

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Judy Blue Eyes (Sound Remedy Remix)

P.S. SKEET BEATZ reached a HALF MILLION hits sometime last week. Thanks to all of our supporters!

Viceroy - Sunny Daze (Original Mix)

Just came across this jam that was released by Viceroy earlier this month...."Sunny Daze" has a great disco sound with some choppy vocals that make it really catchy. Definitely a must have on your summer playlist.

RZA - Only the Rugged Survive

This new track from the RZA is on the upcoming Wu-compilation Legendary Weapons, set to drop June 28th. It's produced by Noah Rubin but the instrumental really sounds like a Black Keys track. RZA's delivery is pretty unique on this one but I like it.

FRIDAY BANGERS 5/27

The weekend is finally here and Team SB is ready to get after it. Here is our latest installment of the Friday Bangers series, where we provide you with the best club tracks for the weekend. Enjoy!

The Wombats - Techno Fan (Afrojack Remix)

DJ Sylert - Inna Tora (Sylert Bootleg)

Men On Mars - Fuck That Shit (Vandalism Remix)

Utuku S. - Stop It (Ftampa Remix)

MC Freeflow - Take You On (Electro Foundation Remix)

And by far my favorite track of the week, with the perfect vocals from a perfect movie; Point Break.

"Everything moves in cycles. Twice a century the oceans let us know just how small we really are. A winter storm comes out of Antarctica tearing up the Pacific and it sends a huge swell north 2000 miles. When it hits Bells Beach it will turn into the biggest surf this planet has ever seen. I will be there."

Sunset Crusin - Perfect Wave (LeBatman Remix) [via SoS]

Busta Rhymes ft Notorious B.I.G. - I Knock You Out

I have never really been a fan of Busta Rhymes, but my boy Julian sent me over "I Knock You Out" yesterday and I was impressed. Busta uses Big’s “All Men Are Dogs” vocals, then uses his “B.I.G. Interlude” bars (which stems from Schooly D’s “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?“) for his own verse. Check it out!

Son Of Kick - Playing the Villian (Jantsen Remix)

Its been a hot minute since we've posted some philth on the site, mostly because some producers just don't get quality bass music. When I heard this Jantsen remix of "Playing The Villain", I immediately thought of my first time at a Rusko concert and got chills. If your a Rusko fan, I'd seriously consider grabbing this one.

Son Of Kick - Playing the Villian (Jantsen Remix)

Friendly Fires - Jump In The Pool (Thin White Duke Remix)

I am extremely happy I stumbled upon this track today. Friendly Fires took a 3 year hiatus after their last album, and "Jump In The Pool" was one of their biggest hits. Thin White Duke mixes up the tune with a driving dance beat that is perfect for summer. Check it!

Friendly Fires - Jump In The Pool (Thin White Duke Remix)

Adele - Cold Shoulder (Out Of Office Remix)

I honestly think if I hear another "Rolling In The Deep" remix my head will explode. The song is literally so played out that I actually get angry when I hear it at a party or on the radio. On the other hand, Adele has a real set of pipes, and her vocals tend to be at the forefront of some quality remix work. This Out Of Office remix came out a couple years back, but it feels fresh and will absolutely get you moving. Have a listen and scoop the track below!

Chiddy Bang - When You've Got Music (Ft. The Knocks)

I'm kind of over Chiddy Bang. I can't really tell if they've fallen off or I am just bored of hearing the same type of flow on a variety of different tracks. Either way, Xaphoon Jones' beats are incredible as usual and it is evident that he will be a force in the production world. Check out their latest track "When You've Got Music" and let us know what you think!

Chiddy Bang - When You've Got Music (Ft. The Knocks)

Nas – It Ain’t Hard To Tell (Chris V Remix)

SUPERTREND is adamant that it is nearly impossible to come across quality rap/hip-hop right now, and I tend to agree with him. Fortunately for us, we have producers like Chris V who are remixing classic tracks by rap legends. Nas was my favorite rapper growing up as a kid, and it's refreshing to hear an impressive remix of "It Ain't Hard To Tell." In my opinion, this remix definitely does justice to the original track off Illmatic.

J Cole - Return of Simba

Latest from J Cole. This isn't really a summer jam but he absolutely murders it. Production on "Return of Simba" was done by Elite, a white 27 year old from Byram, CT. Elite is associated with Ruff Ryders and has worked with DMX, Nas, Common and Jadakiss.

J Cole - Return of Simba

Omer Saar- The Green Album

This is a mash-up album by Omer Saar of Universoul Productions that came out in 2008.It's the epitome of feel good summertime hip hop. The album features soul samples exclusively from Al Green under accapellas from Mos Def, Common, Jay-Z, The Pharcyde, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, MF DOOM, and the RZA.

Here's my favorite: "A New World" by Method Man and MF DOOM

"Travelin' Man" by Mos Def

Click here to download the entire album

Mayer Hawthorne- A Long Time

Mayer Hawthorne and his soulful white-boy crooning have been getting panties wet for a few years now without being signed to a major record label. Now he's signed to Universal Republic and is releasing his sophomoric effort How Do You Do before the end of the year. "A Long Time" is his new single that will probably be on the album. Definitely check this track out.

Sorry no download yet.

Foster The People - Color On The Walls (Don't Stop)

Here's the latest from Foster The People, which is undoubtedly one of my favorite groups right now. I wasn't completely wild about "Color On The Walls" after my first listen, but its growing on my really quickly. Have a listen and decide for yourself!

Foster The People - Color On The Walls (Don't Stop)

HARD SUMMER: Dillon Francis HARD Summer 2011 Mix and Official Trailer

As you all know the HARD Summer Festival is right around the corner. We just received a promotional email with their official trailer and an unbelievable mix by Dillon Francis. This mix has no tracklist because there are so many unreleased tunes that they don't want to ruin the surprise. Check out the vid and definately check out the hour long set.

Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus 2011 (Stargate Remix)

I've heard a ton of Depeche Mode remixes in my day, and I don't think I've come across one that is better than this. Most producers butcher DM's unique sound, however Stargate's interpretation of "Personal Jesus" may even be better than the original. Decide for yourself and support the artist by purchasing the track on iTunes!

Handsome Furs - Repatriated

A couple of years ago my boy Aunie got me into Handsome Furs, a Montreal-based indie rock duo which includes Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and his wife Atlas Strategic. They just came out with a new track the other day called "Repatriated" and I'm a fan. Have a listen and check out some of my favorites from the group.

Richard Visson & Static Revenger - I Like That (Adam F Dubstep Remix)

Adam F is at it again with a phenomenal remix of "I Like That". This guy made his mark on the world with his take on Afrojack's "Take Over Control", and has only put out quality tunes since. Check out this one, and some of our previous related posts.

Mad Decent World Wide Radio #66: Kito's Mad Decent Mix

Newest Mad Decent signees Kito & Reija Lee are a force to be reckoned with. "Kito provides the bass heavy pop-infused production skills, blending perfectly with Reija Lee's lively crisp vocals. Dubstep has been in search of that perfect pop cross-over and Kito & Reija Lee do it with class and flair while holding true to the genre's roots" (via Mad Decent). Their latest EP "Sweet Talk" is a refreshing change from some of the mediocre dubstep that has been coming out lately and I highly suggest you grab a copy on Beatport. But before you do, check out Kito's latest mix on Mad Decent World Wide Radio.

SBTRKT - Wildfire (ft. Little Dragon)

"Wildfire" by South London based artist SBTRKT is probably one of my favorite tracks a the moment. Unbelievable production quality on this one with some solid vocals form Little Dragon. My only problem with this tune is that people on the interwebz seem to be loving the Wheelchair Jimmy remix of the tune better, which I find to be foolish. Decide for yourself.

Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love (David Berrie Remix)

There are hundreds of Florence + The Machine remixes out there, and we have posted a lot of them. However, not many of the ones we have posted have been dance tracks. David Berrie's rendition of "Cosmic Love" is glorious, and I think you guys will really like it. Shouts to AWT for the tip.

Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love (David Berrie Remix)

Penguin Prison - Fair Warning (Oliver Remix)

This track literally screams the 80's. Oliver remixes Penguin Prison's "Fair Warning" into a synth-driven feel good tune. If you hit play and don't want to immediately start dancing, there is most likely something wrong with you.

Chet Faker- No Diggity

I stumbled upon this cover song on The Music Ninja the other day and it's shockingly brilliant. You wouldn't think that a grizzly red-headed Australian electro artist would be able to pull off a cover of Blackstreet's "No Diggity" but Chet Faker does and he's taking the blogosphere by storm.

Chet Faker- No Diggity

Jim Jones- Believe in Magic (Produced by Girl Talk)

So Pitchfork.tv is running this series where they take rappers and pit them against "material they wouldn't normally rap over". Jim Jones got pretty lucky being paired with Gregg Gillis if you ask me. Here's the track they came up with. Half decent. It's very reminiscent of the sped up soul music samples from the early 2000's/ Dipset Purple Haze era.

Pete Rock & Smif N Wessun ft. Sean Price & Styles P – That’s Hard

Pete Rock a.k.a "The Chocolate Boy Wonder" and Smif N Wessun are rap pioneers from the early 90's but they're still in the game and are dropping an album together June 28th. "That's Hard" goes hard and sounds like it could be an MF Doom song. If you know anything about 90's hip hop and rap you'll listen to this track and pick their album up when it comes out.

Avicii x Modest Mouse - Float On, Penguin (G.reg Bootleg)

Avicii's "Penguin" has been getting a lot of attention from producers. The last bootleg we put up by JRowe was flawless, and this one also hits the spot. At first glance, I didn't think these songs would work together, but then I hit play.

Jay-Z featuring Kanye West and Adele – Never Chasing Pavement (Urban Noize Remix)

Sorry about the lack of posts lately, I only have a month left of college and have been prettyyyy prettyyyy prettyyyy busy. Urban Noize's "Never Chasing Pavement" flawlessly meshes Adele’s “Chasing Pavements” with Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Never Change.” Have a listen!!!

The Buckwheat Boys - Peanut Butter Jelly Time (Luke Da Duke Remix)

I am at a loss for words.

The Buckwheat Boys - Peanut Butter Jelly Time (Luke Da Duke Remix)

Lil Wayne - Fly By Night (R3K Remix)

Personally, I am done with Lil Wayne. I think he has absolutely lost it. However, I am not done with R3K. This dude made an imprint on the blog world with this Kid Cudi/Florence and The Machine mashup "Falling Star". His latest is equally as impressive. The beat is unreal, and completely surpasses the Lil Wayne original. What more can I say, this track just works.

Lil Wayne - Fly By Night (R3K Remix)

Starfucker - Julius (Strength Remix)

I have become a big fan of Starfucker recently. If you don't know them, they are an electronica band from Portland, Oregon that formed in 2007. They have a lot of quality tracks out there right now, and this Strength remix of their hit "Julius" is no different. Check out this tune, and two songs that we have posted previously below.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Gimme The Loot (Superginger Dubstep Remix)

For the dubstep massive, I present to you today a bass infused remix of Biggie's classic "Gimmie The Loot". Superginger is from Stockholm, Sweden and is making waves on the dubstep scene. Check out this track, and listen to more of his tunes on his soundcloud page.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Gimme The Loot (Superginger Dubstep Remix)

Royal Flush - Worldwide

If you follow this blog, you know that I am furious with the a ton of new rap music and hate that a lot of people are in love with lame backpack rappers. My boy Chi Chi YAYO played this track for me the other day and I was in love. Big L's crew Royal Flush came out with a track in '96 called Worldwide that I think you all need to hear. The beat is awesome, the lyrics are raw, and the track resembles what the genre used to represent. Team SB is in the business of spreading quality music, and we are going to put up what we think is good, regardless of when it came out. I apologize if you already have the track, but for all of you that don't, enjoy.

Theophilus London - Love Always

Over the weekend, @dizzyMSlizziee hit me up with a dope track I've never heard before. Theophilus London samples Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and adds some decent bars to it. I guess the track came out a while back on his "This Charming Mixtape" but who cares. If you don't have it, scoop it below.

Theophilus London - Love Always

Secondhand Serenade x Young Jeezy - Fall For You Then What (Not Some Kid Remix)

Oh man. Just came across this Not Some Kid mashup today and I thought it was absolutely phenomenal. Somehow, the Secondhand Serenade hook and the Jeezy verses mesh together perfectly. Get this track!

Secondhand Serenade x Jeezy - Fall For You Then What (Not Some Kid Remix)

Darzell - Lights In My Eyes

Darzell, a music tech student at Plymouth State University sent me over this track the other day. Pretty solid if you have to ask me. If you're into dubstep, I suggest you check this track out. #womp

Darzell - Lights In My Eyes

Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon (Madeon Extended Remix)

When you're 16 years old, and you are making remixes like this, you have a bright future. I have heard a ton of Madeon tracks and he is already a quality producer, even at such a young age. Mark my words, he will be ruling the EDM scene in the next couple of years.
